Rohrdorf (dpa / lby) - After the discovery of an aircraft bomb in Rohrdorf, Upper Bavaria, the authorities evacuated an area of around 300 meters around the site on Friday. According to the Rosenheim district office, around 500 people had to leave the danger area. As soon as the emergency services have withdrawn from the cordoned-off area around the site, the defusing will begin.
The 250-kilo bomb was found during construction work in the morning. The radius of the danger area is smaller than previously assumed, said a spokeswoman for the district office. The explosive ordnance clearance service assessed the situation. The gas and water lines were also checked.
