Mellrichstadt (dpa / lby) - Because they are said to have transported suspected stolen goods in a truck, two men have been arrested in Lower Franconia. As the police announced on Monday, the two men are said to have loaded stolen goods worth several hundred thousand euros on Friday afternoon at a rest area near Mellrichstadt (Rhoen-Grabfeld district).
A witness is said to have observed how the two men loaded various items from a truck into a van. The witness then called the police. During an inspection, officials are said to have determined that the goods were stolen goods. According to the report, the police seized tools, electrical items and clothing. The officers arrested the two 34 and 38-year-old men. An investigating judge issued arrest warrants against the men because of the strong suspicion of commercial receiving stolen goods.
