Bavaria: Around one hectare of forest in Lower Franconia on fire

Eschau (dpa / lby) - In the Lower Franconian district of Miltenberg, around one hectare of forest burned on Sunday night. More than 150 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the fire near Eschau, a spokesman for the fire department said on Sunday. The extinguishing work would have lasted for several hours until the morning. The police, technical relief organization, rescue service and local farmers also helped fight the fire. Because embers kept flaring up again and again, a fire watch will remain on site until the evening. So nobody was injured. The fire brigade was initially unable to say anything about the cause of the fire.
