Vaterstetten (dpa / lby) - A truck driver was found in his driver's cab on a motorway parking lot near Munich with a life-threatening stab wound. The 54-year-old was taken to a hospital and is now out of danger, the police said on Saturday. After the incident on Friday evening, the officers arrested a suspect armed with a knife in the parking lot on Autobahn 99 near Vaterstetten.
According to the current state of knowledge, the victim and the suspect are employed by the same trucking company. It is therefore likely that they know each other, explained a press spokesman for the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North. The motive of the suspect is so far unclear. An arrest warrant was issued against the 50-year-old on suspicion of attempted manslaughter. He was taken into custody. Both men are from Romania.
