Munich (dpa / lby) - A burning stroller triggered a large-scale operation by the fire brigade in Munich. Firefighters rescued six people from the windows of their apartments while several squads fought the fire in the building, police said on Saturday. Several callers had reported thick black smoke in an apartment building in the Berg-am-Laim district on Friday evening.
The source of the fire turned out to be a pram on the stairs in the basement. It was unclear why he caught fire. Several people suffered smoke inhalation, but no one was hospitalized.
