Bavaria: Baby seriously injured after a head-on collision

Manching (dpa / lby) - A seven-month-old baby was seriously injured near Ingolstadt in a head-on collision between two cars. A 50-year-old woman came into the opposite lane in Manching (Pfaffenhofen district) and collided with the car of a 26-year-old mother and her two daughters, the police said on Thursday. The baby was taken to a clinic by helicopter after the accident on Wednesday, but is now said to be out of danger. The mother and her six-year-old daughter suffered minor injuries. The woman who had come into the opposite lane was also seriously injured. It was initially unclear why she got on the wrong lane.
