Bavaria: barn and house burn down: one million euros in damage

Zenzing (dpa / lby) - A fire in a barn and an adjacent residential building caused damage of around one million euros in Zenzing (Cham district). A photovoltaic system on the roof of the house was completely destroyed. As the police announced on Thursday evening, the barn of an agricultural property near Roding caught fire first. The house quickly caught fire and burned down. The fire brigade was able to rescue around 50 cattle and calves from another barn. However, four calves died in an outdoor enclosure right next to the burning barn. The cause of the fire was still unclear.
