Bavaria: Bavaria wants a counseling center for victims of online hate

Schwangau (dpa / lby) - People in Bavaria should soon be able to contact a Free State advice center if they see hate comments online. The state government has negotiated a contract to give the Baden-Württemberg registration office "Respect!" Bavaria's Justice Minister Georg Eisenreich (CSU) said on Thursday after the spring meeting with his colleagues from the federal and state governments. He wants to announce details after the Pentecost holidays.

Hamburg's Justice Senator Anna Gallina (Greens) had called for a nationwide reporting office for hate comments before the conference. At the two-day meeting, however, it was agreed that the countries should take care of offers. "We just need a place where everyone knows I have to go there for reports," Gallina said on Thursday. Therefore, the offers of the countries should be listed on a common overview page if possible.
