Landau (dpa/lby) - With Bavaria's Minister of Transport Christian Bernreiter and District President Olaf Heinrich at the helm, the CSU Lower Bavaria is going into the state and district elections in October 2023. The 84 delegates at the nomination meeting in Landau voted for both candidates with no dissenting votes, shared the CSU on Sunday. A total of 36 Lower Bavarian candidates were nominated.
Before the state elections in autumn, the district of Lower Bavaria is considered to be particularly hard-fought. In addition to the CSU, the Free Voters led by Hubert Aiwanger, who comes from Lower Bavaria, are also considered promising. The AfD is also hoping for numerous votes in Lower Bavaria.
