Bavaria: Between 5.6 and 11 percent more wages for Bavarian bakers

Munich, (dpa / lby) - The collective wages of the 48,000 employees in the Bavarian bakery trade are rising sharply. As the state guild association and the NGG union announced on Monday, employees in sales will receive 165 euros more per month from January, all other tariff groups 150 euros more. There is also a one-time payment of 450 euros net. As a result, "wages and salaries for skilled workers with vocational qualifications will increase by 5.6 percent in production and by 7.0 percent in sales," said Kurt Haberl, Deputy NGG Regional Head. The wages for semi-skilled staff even increase by up to 11 percent.

With a minimum wage of 13 euros per hour in the lowest tariff group, the industry also stands out from the statutory minimum wage, said Haberl. The new collective agreement runs from October 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023. State Guild Master Heinrich Traublinger said: "Despite the extremely high burden on companies due to energy and raw material costs, we were able to find a viable solution. The increases take into account the current difficult situation and further developments that are not yet foreseeable."
