Munich (dpa/lby) - The deadline for blood donors after a corona infection has been halved to give more people the opportunity to donate blood. This was pointed out by the blood donation service of the Bavarian Red Cross on Wednesday. The deferral of donors after an infection has been shortened from four to two weeks in coordination with the authorities.
The blood donation service hopes that more people will go to the blood donation appointments in the coming weeks. In the summer months there are always problems with an adequate supply of blood in the clinics because many donors are away or do not go to donate for other reasons.
