Bavaria: Boy hit by car and seriously injured

Ingolstadt (dpa / lby) - A boy was hit by a car in Ingolstadt and seriously injured. The 12-year-old had played with a ball next to a road on Sunday, the police said on Monday. The ball rolled onto the street, the child ran after it, not paying attention to the traffic. A 62-year-old driver was unable to avoid the emergency braking and hit the boy. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but his life is not endangered.
