Send (dpa / lby) - In Swabia, a primary school student prevented a possible house fire. As the police announced on Tuesday, the eight-year-old had discovered heavy smoke on the neighboring property when looking out of the window on Monday evening in Sending (Neu-Ulm district). The boy called his mother, who alerted the fire brigade.
The terrace roof of the neighboring house was on fire after a defective battery of an electric scooter had caused the fire. The fire brigade was able to prevent the fire from spreading to the house. The damage to property remained manageable at around 20,000 euros.
