Roding (dpa / lby) - burglars stole 750 liters of heating oil in the Upper Palatinate. The perpetrators drilled into and emptied the tanks in the basement of a residential building in Rettenbach (Cham district), the Roding Police Inspectorate announced on Sunday. The time of the crime is unclear because the house has been empty since mid-October. The investigators put the value of the stolen heating oil at 1125 euros and the damage to property at 2000 euros.
Investigators are looking for witnesses. The perpetrators only stole the heating oil from the house and stole nothing else, said a police spokesman when asked. So far, there has not been a comparable case of heating oil theft in the area of the Rodinger police inspection.
