Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - Because she is said to have prescribed cannabis to patients in almost 90 cases without permission, a doctor has to answer to the district court in Nuremberg from Wednesday. The public prosecutor accuses the 59-year-old of having issued private prescriptions for cannabis flowers without having previously exhausted other treatment methods and taking other guidelines into account. In addition, she is said to have issued unchecked medical certificates on the patient's fitness to drive.
According to the indictment, the predominantly homeopathic doctor is said to have prescribed cannabis on a private prescription in order to earn money. She is said not to have informed the patients that the treatment deviated from the medical guidelines. The course of therapy was not monitored. She is said to have made herself liable to prosecution for the commercial, unauthorized prescribing of narcotics in 89 cases and for issuing incorrect health certificates.
