Schweinfurt (dpa / lby) - A basement fire in an apartment building in Schweinfurt is believed to have been set intentionally. Five people were injured in the fire on Thursday, two of them seriously, the police said. A seven-year-old child also breathed in smoke and was slightly injured. Paramedics took the injured to the hospital.
The police are now looking for witnesses. It was initially not known why the investigators assumed arson based on the current status. The details of this may be knowledge of the perpetrators, said a police spokesman when asked.
