Bavaria: City of Munich receives archive on Jewish literature

Munich (dpa/lby) - An extensive archive of Jewish literature with documents and sound recordings by prominent authors such as Hannah Arendt or Grete Weil now belongs to the city of Munich. The collection of publicist Rachel Salander documents the development of literature on Judaism after 1945 and contains valuable material for international Holocaust research and biographical research, the city's literary archive Monacensia announced on Monday. With her generous donation, Salander makes it possible to discover Jewish authors in a variety of ways and to place them in the context of today's debates.
