Schwindegg (dpa / lby) - An 83-year-old driver died in a head-on collision on a connecting road in the Mühldorf am Inn district. On Thursday afternoon, the police said he wanted to turn into the municipal connection road between Edmühle and Walkersaich, which has priority. He apparently overlooked a car on this street. The 30-year-old driver of this car was no longer able to prevent a collision.
The 83-year-old was trapped in his vehicle and died at the scene of the accident. The 30-year-old was flown to a hospital by rescue helicopter with serious injuries. Both cars were totaled. Walkersaich and Edmühle belong to the municipality of Schwindegg.
