Bad Grönenbach (dpa / lby) - A cyclist died in a serious traffic accident on the local connecting road between Bad Grönenbach and Herbisried in the Unterallgäu district. The 65-year-old was cycling towards Herbisried on Thursday evening when she was hit so hard by a previously unknown vehicle that she was thrown onto a field, the police said. The unknown driver left the scene of the accident without permission without helping the fallen cyclist. First responders tried to revive the woman until the emergency services arrived. Ultimately, however, the emergency doctor could only determine death.
According to the police, several vehicle parts were found at the scene of the accident, which indicate a white vehicle, possibly the MAN brand. The police asked for information from the population about the course of the accident or about a white, damaged vehicle that drove south from Bad Grönenbach in the evening hours between 6:40 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
