Bavaria: Cyclist is hit by train and dies

Pemfling (dpa / lby) - A cyclist died in a collision with a train at a level crossing in the Upper Palatinate. The 84-year-old drove around the closed barriers in Pemfling (Cham district) on Tuesday evening for an unknown reason and wanted to cross the level crossing, the police reported on Wednesday. A train from the Oberpfalzbahn caught the man on the railway line in the direction of Schwandorf. The 84-year-old died at the scene of the accident. Nobody was injured on the train.
