Bavaria: cyclists died in an accident

Heiligenstadt (dpa / lby) - A 76-year-old cyclist died in an accident in Upper Franconia. A witness found the man on Thursday morning near Heiligenstadt (Bamberg district) lifeless on the bike path, the police said. An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the man. According to their findings so far, the police assume that no other road users were involved and that the 76-year-old fell on his bike himself. The specific cause of death initially remained unclear. Investigations into the exact course of events are ongoing. The police are looking for witnesses.
