Elsenfeld (dpa / lby) - A woman is said to have killed her 82-year-old mother in Elsenfeld (Miltenberg district). The suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of manslaughter, as the police headquarters in Lower Franconia and the public prosecutor's office in Aschaffenburg announced on Tuesday. Family members discovered the 82-year-old dead in her apartment on Monday.
Their daughter was there, too, but not responsive. According to initial investigations, the woman, who was apparently mentally stressed, could be responsible for the death of the 82-year-old. The suspect is also said to have tried to take her own life – she was injured and taken to a hospital. Further details, such as the family background, were initially unclear.
