Bavaria: drivers rescue injured dog from Autobahn

Kleinlangheim (dpa / lby) - drivers in Lower Franconia saved an injured St. Bernard from the Autobahn 3. According to the police on Tuesday, drivers saw the dog limping along the hard shoulder on the Autobahn towards Frankfurt near Kleinlangheim (Kitzingen district) on Sunday and called the police. A man stopped and caught the animal. Several helpers fixed the St. Bernard with a leash and gave him food until the officers arrived.

The police then brought the injured dog back to its owner, who had since reported the loss. According to a police spokesman, the dog was out and about alone from around 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. Where he got his leg injury from is unknown.
