Bavaria: Drunk locks himself out and calls the fire brigade

Bad Kissingen (dpa / lby) - A man in Lower Franconia wanted to have his apartment door opened by the fire brigade after he had locked himself out while drunk. The man used an allegedly left stove as an excuse to call the emergency services to get back to his apartment in Bad Kissingen free of charge, the police said on Monday. This turned out to be the case during the conversation. An alcohol test on the man showed a value of 2.66 per mille on Sunday.

According to the police, the emergency services left the door locked, but helped the man and his companion to contact a locksmith. The man was also reported for abusing emergency calls and interfering with accident prevention and emergency aid.
