Neusorg (dpa / lby) - While looking for needle branches and moss in a forest in the Upper Palatinate, an 83-year-old fell and was found by rescue workers several hours later. As the police announced on Tuesday, emergency services found the woman late Monday evening near Neusorg (Tirschenreuth district) after relatives had reported the woman missing.

Search dogs and thermal imaging cameras were also used in the search by the police, rescue service, fire brigade and mountain rescue service. The woman was ultimately hypothermic, according to the police, but was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
