Münchberg (dpa / lby) - An employee fell four meters from a ride in Upper Franconia and was seriously injured. The 23-year-old had only been at the Wiesenfest in Münchberg for a few days and misjudged the situation, as a police spokesman said on Sunday. Accordingly, on Saturday evening after the end of the journey, he climbed onto a disc that was still rotating and then fell through a railing. The man was taken to a hospital.
The ride has several gondolas on a disc that rotates at up to 50 kilometers per hour. Operations resumed after the accident, a spokesman said.
