Bavaria: Explosive cargo: Man caught with firecrackers

Furth im Wald (dpa / lby) - Two months before the turn of the year, a man with 80 forbidden New Year's Eve crackers was caught under the front seats of his car in the Upper Palatinate. The 45-year-old traveled from the Czech Republic to Bavaria, the police said on Wednesday. During a check on All Saints' Day in Furth im Wald (Cham district), border police officers discovered the illegal fireworks. The Upper Bavarian is now being investigated for violating the Explosives Act. He admitted to having bought the firecrackers in the Czech Republic.
