Füssen (dpa / lby) – Federal police officers freed eight smuggled dogs from a car at the Füssen border tunnel. Seven of them were puppies, said the federal police in Kempten on Tuesday. None of the dogs had the necessary certificates for import, including a rabies vaccination. The investigators checked the 36-year-old driver and his 26-year-old passenger on Friday on Autobahn 7 in Ostallgäu and discovered the dogs in the illegal transport. She is being investigated for a misdemeanor. The dogs came to the shelter. The co-driver was also unable to produce a passport and was therefore reported for attempted illegal entry.
