Halblech (dpa / lby) - There were three serious and two slightly injured in a head-on collision in the Allgäu. A 56-year-old driver came into the oncoming lane for an unknown reason, police said on Sunday. He collided with another car in Halblech (Ostallgäu district).
A rescue helicopter took him to the hospital with serious injuries on Saturday. Two passengers in the other car, who were also seriously injured, were taken to the hospital by a second rescue helicopter and an ambulance. The driver and another passenger were also taken there with minor injuries. The police estimate the property damage at 40,000 euros.
