Bavaria: gas instead of brake: 90-year-old driver ends up in a bakery

Rimsting (dpa / lby) - In the Upper Bavarian town of Rimsting (Rosenheim district), a 90-year-old driver drove his car into a bakery. As the police reported, he slipped off the brake pedal on Wednesday and stepped on the gas pedal. The car drove through the front door of the store and hit the counter.

Luckily there were no customers in the bakery, and the saleswoman got away with it too. The 90-year-old was taken to hospital as a precaution, although he was also unharmed. Significant damage was done to the building.
