Bavaria: girl distributes play money: school management calls the police

Aschaffenburg (dpa / lby) - police officers caught several fourth graders at a primary school in Lower Franconia with alleged counterfeit money. A ten-year-old from Aschaffenburg took play money from her local shop to school and gave it to her classmates there, the police said on Wednesday. The school management informed the officials accordingly.

"These were not Monopoly notes. They looked like real money, which is why the error could occur," said a police spokesman. The play money is based on the 20-euro banknote, but has an imprint with the words "Copy". The police also checked the girl's parents' home on Tuesday, but found nothing suspicious. None of the parties involved face criminal consequences.
