Bavaria: hay baler catches fire: grain field burns

Wartmannsroth (dpa / lby) - A hay baler burned down completely in Lower Franconia and caused several fires in a grain field. The press probably caught fire due to a technical defect near Wartmannsroth (Bad Kissingen district), as the police announced on Sunday. Because a farmer drove the press into a meadow, the flames could be prevented from spreading further. Two firefighters suffered smoke inhalation while fighting the fire on Saturday and had to be taken to the hospital.
