Bavaria: Heavily drunk man pulled out of the river

Coburg (dpa / lby) - the police and fire brigade rescued a heavily drunk man from the river in Coburg. The 33-year-old probably fell into the Itz on Sunday morning because of his alcohol level of almost 3 per thousand, the police said. A local resident heard his cries for help and called 911. After the officials had secured the man with a thrown rope, the fire brigade came and pulled the 33-year-old out of the water. Severely hypothermic but otherwise unharmed, he was taken to a hospital.
