Schwandorf (dpa / lby) - A heavy rain front caused flooded streets and full basements in the Upper Palatinate on Wednesday evening. Between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the police counted around 35 weather-related operations, as reported by the Oberpfalz police headquarters in the evening.
The district of Cham was particularly affected, it said. In Schwandorf, lightning struck a roof truss, causing damage estimated at 100,000 euros. So there were no injuries.
