Landshut (dpa / lby) - In connection with cases of fraud in Corona emergency aid, the police and public prosecutor's office searched several properties in the Landshut area on Wednesday. Eleven suspects between the ages of 21 and 64 are suspected of having stolen payments from the federal government, said the police headquarters in Lower Bavaria. The amount of damage is estimated at 75,000 euros.
The suspects are said to have submitted applications for corona bridging aid to the IHK Munich and Upper Bavaria between mid-2021 and March 2022. Among other things, they incorrectly stated that they had generated sales of several tens of thousands of euros in the quarter as self-employed in the previous year.
