Aschaffenburg (dpa / lby) - After a fatal jump into the Main in Lower Franconia, a 35-year-old man has to go to prison for 13 years. A court spokeswoman said on Friday that no appeals have been lodged against the verdict, which was made shortly before Christmas in the Aschaffenburg district court.

The man is said to have brought an acquaintance to a fatal jump into the river near Wörth am Main (Miltenberg district) out of revenge. The regional court therefore convicted him of dangerous bodily harm in the majority of the offenses with manslaughter as an indirect perpetrator.

Prosecutors and co-plaintiffs had asked for life imprisonment for murder. The defense had requested a prison sentence of one and a half years for dangerous bodily harm.
