Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - A man's jump from a parking garage onto a garbage can triggered a major police operation in Nuremberg. For a resident, the noise sounded like a shot, which is why she dialed the emergency call, as the police headquarters in Central Franconia announced on Sunday. The witness also reported a man calling for help who was holding a gun to his head.
Several patrols then searched the area in the Johannis district on Saturday night. In a backyard, officers found a 25-year-old man with a bleeding head injury - but he didn't have a gun with him. Investigations revealed that the man sustained the injury when he jumped onto a garbage can; he is said to have been under the influence of drugs. The 25-year-old was taken to a hospital.
