Bavaria: killing of student topic in "Aktenzeichen XY"

Aschau im Chiemgau (dpa / lby) - The murder of a young woman in Aschau im Chiemgau in Upper Bavaria in the district of Rosenheim will be the subject of next week's ZDF search program "Aktenzeichen XY... unsolved". According to the broadcaster, the case should be picked up there on November 9th.

According to Stefan Sonntag, press spokesman for the Oberbayern Süd police headquarters, the focus should be on a wristwatch that was found in a small stream - not far from the Aschau nightclub, which the 23-year-old had visited before her death. A ring that the woman was wearing and apparently lost in the creek was also discovered near the watch. "That's why the clock is a very important lead that we absolutely want to have clarified," said Sunday. The student did not come home after a visit to the "Eiskeller" music club on the evening of October 2nd. Hours later, a passerby discovered her body in the Prien, which flows through Aschau.

The currently around 50-strong Soko "Club" asked guests of the "Eiskeller" on Friday, who were celebrating there that evening and had not yet been interviewed, to actively report. According to Sunday, around 200 witnesses have already been questioned, most of them were in the “ice cellar” that night. In total, an estimated 600 to 800 people would have celebrated there.
