Alzenau (dpa / lby) - A primary school student trapped her knee in a banister in Lower Franconia and had to be freed by the fire brigade. Neither the teachers nor the caretaker could have helped the ten-year-old in Alzenau (Aschaffenburg district) out of their predicament on Tuesday morning, the district fire inspection said.
Firefighters then stretched the metal railings in the playground with a rescue spreader, a spokesman said. Then they calmed down the angry student. It was said that the girl caught her knee while playing. According to the spokesman, the child was not seriously injured.
