Bavaria: large-scale operation: man climbs on a crane for a Facebook video

Freising (dpa / lby) - For a Facebook video, a man climbed onto a crane in Upper Bavaria and thus triggered a large-scale operation by the police and fire brigade. Passers-by discovered the man on the crane in Freising on Saturday with his smartphone drawn and called the police because they assumed that he wanted to jump, as the police announced on Sunday. However, they were not used because, after a few attempts at persuasion, the man climbed down from the crane using a fire brigade ladder. The consequences under criminal law are currently being examined, and the man has to bear the costs of the operation himself. However, it was not known how high these were.
