Bavaria: Man dies during earthworks on his house

Thurmansbang (dpa / lby) - A 51-year-old died during earthwork on his house in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau. As a police spokesman reported on Monday, together with his 26-year-old son and a friend, he had secured earth piled up at his house in Thurmansbang with wooden formwork panels. One of them probably slipped due to the rain on Friday and hit the 51-year-old. The two young men are said to have freed the trapped and partially buried 51-year-old. An attempt at resuscitation was unsuccessful.
