Stammbach (dpa/lby) - The driver of a minibus hit a car driver in the face in a traffic jam on Autobahn 9 in Upper Franconia. When the traffic flowed stop-and-go at a construction site near Stammbach (Hof district), the 43-year-old got out of his vehicle on Wednesday evening and opened the door of the car behind him, the police said on Thursday. The 47-year-old driver suffered a laceration above his eye as a result of the impact.
According to the police, after the man had struck, he got back into his minibus and continued towards Berlin. A patrol was able to stop the bus in a parking lot. A drug test was positive. The man was charged with assault and driving under the influence of drugs.
