Hammelburg (dpa / lby) - Broken windows, broken cars: In Hammelburg (Bad Kissingen district), a man threw cobblestones around and thus caused a lot of property damage. Prosecutors applied for an arrest warrant on Thursday. The 37-year-old is said to have thrown at passers-by on Monday evening, but missed them. He is also said to have thrown a stone into an open window of a passing car and only just missed the passenger. However, a police officer was behind the wheel after work – he and other helpers were able to stop the man.
He allegedly stole the paving stones from a construction site, according to the police and prosecutors. The man was first taken to a hospital. Investigators estimate the damage to be in the six-figure range.
