Augsburg (dpa / lby) - After an armed robbery at a gas station in Augsburg, a 19-year-old turned himself in to the police. The arrest warrant requested by the public prosecutor's office for serious extortion from robbery had been suspended against conditions, the police and public prosecutor's office announced on Wednesday.
The man is said to have threatened the employee at the gas station with a gun on Monday and demanded money. The perpetrator stole a low four-digit amount during the robbery and fled. The seller was in shock.
The 19-year-old reported to the police a few hours after the robbery and was arrested without resistance, it said. According to the current status of the investigation, the weapon was not a live firearm. Further details were not initially known.
