Munich (dpa / lby) - four police officers were slightly injured when a man was arrested with a sword-like object in Munich. The officials suffered abrasions and bruises in the scramble, a police spokesman said on Thursday. However, the suspect did not use the long-bladed weapon to defend himself on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old had previously stolen groceries from a supermarket and had the gun with him. A witness had called the police when the man was on his way there.
The 32-year-old was therefore taken to a hospital because of his mentally conspicuous behavior. The police seized his gun and the stolen food. The man is now being investigated for assaulting police officers and armed theft.
