Gößweinstein (dpa / lby) - A 13-year-old stepped on sharp metal spikes while walking on a forest path in Upper Franconia. It was a piece of fence about a meter long that was prepared in such a way that metal spikes protruded a few centimeters from the ground, the police said on Monday.
Since the 13-year-old was wearing sturdy shoes, he was not injured in the incident on Sunday evening in Gößweinstein (Forchheim district). The police suspect that the piece of fence was intended to prevent tractor drivers and mountain bikers from crossing the meadow. Officers are now investigating attempted assault.
