Fürth (dpa / lby) - The number of children in Bavaria who are cared for in day care centers has continued to rise. This was announced by the State Statistical Office in Fürth on Monday. In March, 629,104 children were housed in day-care centers and a further 12,238 children in publicly funded day care - a total increase of 3.1 percent compared to the previous year. At the same time, the number of places has also increased - by 3.5 percent to 710,851. The statisticians determined that the number of teaching staff increased by about the same amount, namely by 3.7 percent to 109,655. If you include management functions, administration and housekeeping, 135,180 people were employed in daycare centers in Bavaria as of March 1st.
