Straubing (dpa / lby) - The name "Nawareum" says it all: A new museum in Straubing is dedicated to the topic of renewable raw materials. Regular visitor operations begin on March 4th, but those interested can visit the museum in advance from February 4th - free of charge.
Politics, business and society are currently discussing the climate crisis on a daily basis. According to the information provided, the "Nawareum" also deals with climate change and related topics such as sustainability, renewable energies, climate-friendly everyday life, nature and technology as well as an environmentally friendly garden with medicinal plants, grain and flowering plants for insects. Visitors should be able to experiment a lot and be active in the museum.
The "Nawareum" is part of the technology and funding center in the Competence Center for Renewable Resources (TFZ) in Straubing and was financed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Economics. The TFZ is a research institution of the Free State. Prime Minister Markus Söder and Minister of Agriculture Michaela Kaniber (both CSU) and Economics Minister Hubert Aiwanger (Free Voters) are expected to attend the museum opening on March 3rd.
