Dietmannsried (dpa / lby) - Although there was a rest area in the immediate vicinity, a man in the Swabian district of Oberallgäu chose the shoulder of the Autobahn 7 for a nap. A patrol found the 67-year-old sleeping peacefully in the driver's seat of his car on Sunday morning, police said on Monday. Witnesses had previously reported a breakdown vehicle on the hard shoulder in the direction of Würzburg near Dietmannsried.
The officers woke the man up. According to the information, he had to pay a fine of almost 100 euros. He then continued his sleep in a parking lot.
