In connection with the security conference (Siko), 19 meetings are planned from Friday to Sunday.

Already on Friday, 1000 participants are expected to attend a rally against the Iranian government at Odeonsplatz (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). At the same time, a demonstration with 700 participants took place on Promenadenplatz under the theme "Freedom

The two largest protest events are on Saturday. The demonstration of the alliance "Munich stands up" is registered with 4000 participants (1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Under the motto "We want peace", they will make their way to and from Königsplatz via Kaiserplatz and Theresienstrasse, among other places. The organization "women.life.freedom.munich" has registered 3,500 participants for its protests against Siko and the Iranian government at Max-Joseph-Platz (12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.).

The "Alliance for action against the NATO security conference" demonstrated at two events with a total of 2,300 participants. 2000 of them will go from Stachus via Lenbachplatz to Marienplatz (12.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.). At the same time, a human chain of 300 people is planned from Stachus to Marienplatz.

There will also be demonstrations against the Ukraine war on Saturday. Under the motto "Together against war" 1500 participants are registered from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Odeonsplatz. Among others, the chairwoman of the human rights organization CCL, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Oleksandra Matwijtschuk, is expected. Politicians like Anton Hofreiter (Greens), Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann (FDP) and Florian Hahn (CSU) should also be there.

A little earlier, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the AfD Munich-East district association registered 300 participants under the motto "Against arms deliveries/sanctions". A route to Königsplatz is then planned, as the party announced on its website. There the demonstrators join the alliance "Munich stands up".

Another 1,000 participants are registered for a demonstration against the Iranian government on Sunday. They meet according to the information from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Odeonsplatz.

The youth association of the Federation of Democratic Workers' Associations of Bavaria (DIDF) is organizing a demonstration at Königsplatz on Sunday. 1,000 participants have registered (2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) under the theme "Remembrance rally on the 3rd anniversary of the right-wing attack in Hanau". A demonstration with 300 participants has also been registered in connection with the attack (3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.). From Königsplatz, the demonstrators walk along Sonnenstrasse to Karl-Stützel-Platz. In addition to this selection of demonstrations, a few smaller protests have been announced for the weekend.

The 55th Munich Security Conference will take place from February 15th to 17th at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. It is considered the most important meeting of politicians and experts on security policy worldwide. A total of 4,500 officers are said to be on duty, as the police announced on Tuesday.
